The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team lost their 10th game of the season as they fell 3-0 to rival North Penn-Liberty on Tuesday, October 19.
The Lady Mounties took the first set 25-13, won the second 25-12, and completed the sweep with a 25-15 third set victory.
Senior Emma Owlett had 8 kills, junior Madaline Bordas made 10 assists, senior Olivia Servatius had 3 points and 6 digs, junior Emily Starkweather had 7 points, and freshman Paige Logsdon had 3 kills and 2 blocks.
Wellsboro did start out the night with a win in the JV game. North Penn-Liberty won the first set 25-17 before the Lady Hornets battled back to win the second set 25-22 and hung on for a 15-13 win in the third set.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets' record to 7-10 (4-8 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action this evening for a non-league game with Coudersport.
