The Wellsboro Track teams split with Williamson in their 2nd home meet of the season on Tuesday, April 13.
The Lady Hornets edged Williamson 76-69 while Williamson won the boys meet, 85-61.
Junior Hannah Morey was 4th in the 100m (14.62) followed by sophomore Kate DeCamp (14.93) in 5th. Morey (30.97) and DeCamp (31.28) were 3rd and 4th in the 200m, and freshman Emily Richardson (1:13.47) was 2nd in the 400m. Senior Aislinn Hoose (3:02.28) won the 800m, junior Madeline Bryant won both the 1600m (6:40.03) and 3200m (14:52.09) runs. Senior Kathryn Burnett won the 100m hurdles in 19.16 and was 2nd in the 300m hurdles (1:01.58) followed by sophomore Ella Posada (1:03.15) in 3rd.
Williamson won the 4x100m but the Lady Hornets won the 4x400m (5:19.2) and the 4x800m (12:34.45).
Junior Sara Abadi (5-ft, 2) was 2nd in the high jump, freshman Hannah Nuss (5-ft) was 3rd in the pole vault, and freshman Olivia Chilson (13-ft, 9.5) was 2nd in the long jump. Wellsboro swept the triple jump with senior Madelyn Rudy (27-ft, 2.75) coming home in 1st followed by senior Alina Pietrzyk (26-ft, 6.25) in 2nd and junior Shannon Clark (26-ft, 4.25) in 3rd.
Senior Kiyah Boyce (26-ft, 9) won the shot followed by freshman Grace Harlan (26-ft, 1) in 2nd. Boyce won the discus with a throw of 84-ft, 7 and junior Emma Coolidge (92-ft, 8) and Pietrzyk (89-ft, 7) took the top two spots in the javelin.
For the boys sophomore Jack Poirier won both the 100m (11.83) and the 200m (24.16). Senior Aidan Fletcher (58.39) was 2nd in the 400m and junior Gabe Guignard (12:44.69) was 2nd in the 3200m. Wellsboro took home the top spot in the 4x100m (46.79) and the 4x800m (10:13.91) relays while coming home 2nd in the 4x400m (4:15.11).
Sophomore Aden Tom (5-ft) was 3rd in the high jump, sophomore Spencer Wetzel (8-ft) was 2nd in the pole vault, Poirier (18-ft, 5.75) won the long jump, and sophomore Sam Rudy (37-ft, 9.25) won the triple jump.
Wellsboro swept the shot put as junior Justice Harlan (34-ft, 8), sophomore Wyatt Gastrock (33-ft, 3), and sophomore Joe Brown (32-ft, 6) took the top three spots. Freshman Watson Feil (87-ft, 3) won the discus with Gastrock (79-ft, 4) in 3rd, and Harlan (114-ft, 2) won the javelin with freshman Noah Morey (100-ft, 4) in 3rd.
The Hornets are back in action against Towanda on Friday, April 16.
