The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team suffered a loss to rival North Penn-Liberty on Wednesday, September 23.
The Hornets split with the Mounties, losing the first match 6-1 and winning the second 1-0. Jacob Baldwin scored the only goal for Wellsboro with 6 minutes left in the match. Liberty outshot Wellsboro 14-3. Lucas Trescott had 8 saves in goal for Wellsboro.
The loss drops the Hornets' record to 2-2. The team will be back in action on at Williamson on Saturday, September 26.
