The Wellsboro Boys Soccer team remained undefeated after making the long drive over to Northeast Bradford on Thursday, October 15 thanks to an 8-0 shutout victory.
"It took us some time to adjust to the surface and the tactic used by NEB," head coach Todd Fitch said. "The boys remained poised, finished on a few first half opportunities, and then settled into the match."
The Hornets were in charge for the full game. They took 17 shots on goal and prevented the Panthers from registering a shot on goal.
Senior Will Poirier scored a hat trick to lead the Hornets on the evening. Junior Owen Richardson had a pair of goals, and senior Kaeden Mann, sophomore Jack Poirier, and freshman Caden Smith all added single goals. Mann and Richardson both added 2 assists and Jack Poirier assisted on a goal.
The win improves the Hornets' record to 9-0 overall and in the NTL. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 20 against Towanda.
