Middle School Hornets fall to Sayre

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team fell to Sayre 5-1 on Saturday, September 21.

Wellsboro's only score came in the 2nd minute of the second half by Jack Bryant (Micah Vickery Assist).

Sayre out shot Wellsboro 10-2. Annie Gehman had 7 saves for Wellsboro.

Wellsboro also came up short in the second game, 3-2. Sayre was up 2-0 at the half before the Hornets tied the score in the second half with Micaiah Fitch scoring both goals, with an assist on one by Nate Pondo. With less than 2 minutes in the game Sayre scored the winning goal. Keeper Megan Robbins had 2 saves for Wellsboro.

The loss drops the Hornets to 4-2-1 on the season. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, September 25 against Galeton.
