The Wellsboro Middle School Boys Basketball team finished the 2018 season on a high note with a 37-30 win over Loyalsock on Saturday, January 5.
The game was back-and-forth the entire way but the Hornets clung to a one-point lead after the third quarter and held the Lancers to just 2 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
"It was a great way to end the season," said head coach Steve Adams. "The boys developed a basket identity of playing hard all the time. We did a great job in man to man defense in the fourth quarter. Our boys played as a team all season which is why we had success. I'm proud if all the boys. Their future is bright."
Conner Adams had 15 and Will Kibler scored 9 to lead the Hornets.
In the B game Loyalsock won 35-19. Caden Smith had 7 to lead Wellsboro.
Wellsboro finishes their season with a 12-3 record.
