The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team was swept by North Penn-Liberty on Friday, October 18.
Liberty took the first set 25-13 then rallied to win the second set 25-20, after tying the set up at 20-all. Liberty then went on to win the third 25-12.
Senior Caitlyn Callahan led the Lady Hornets with 14 kills, senior Megan Starkweather had 11 assists, 16 digs, 6 kills, and 2 blocks, senior Ryann Adams had 22 digs and 5 points, junior Breighanna Kemp had 9 assists, 3 points, and 2 blocks, junior Kathryn Burnett had 7 points, and junior Bailey Monks had 2 kills and 3 blocks.
Liberty also took the JV game, winning 2-1. Wellsboro won the first set 25-16 and Liberty won sets 2 (25-20) and 3 (15-12).
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 15-3 (10-2 NTL Large School Division). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 22 when the Northeast Bradford Lady Panthers come to town.
