The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept Williamsport at home to improve to 3-0 on Monday, September 9.
Wellsboro won the first set 25-13 then cruised to win the second 25-3 and the third 25-7.
Senior Caitlyn Callahan led the Lady Hornets with 15 points, 9 kills, and 2 digs, junior Breighanna Kemp had 18 points and 5 assists, senior Ryann Adams scored 13 points and 3 digs, sophomore Jordan Judlin had 11 assists, junior Bailey Monks had 4 blocks and 3 kills, sophomore Emma Owlett recorded 3 kills, and junior Kathryn Burnett had 2 digs.
Wellsboro started the night out winning the JV game, 25-2 and 25-4.
In Middle School action, the Lady Hornets traveled to Athens and split a pair of games. The young Lady Hornets won the A game 25-22 and 25-13 to start the season off at 1-0, while the B team lost the first set 25-22 then won the last 2 sets, 25-14 and 15-7.
The Varsity team is back in action later this evening on the road in Williamson while the Middle School team hosts Canton on Wednesday, September 11.
