The Wellsboro Girls Track team finished 7th overall with 51 points at the NTL Track Championships in Athens on Friday, May 10.
Athens won the meet with 152 team points followed by Troy (122), Wyalusing (110), Williamson (83), Towanda (71), Sayre (53), Wellsboro, Canton (32), North Penn-Mansfield (20), and Northeast Bradford (4).
Junior Savana Baltzley (1:06.2) was 6th in the 400m, senior Dahlia Hosey (16-ft, 8.25) was 2nd in the long jump with junior Megan Starkweather (15-ft, 10.5) in 5th, Hosey (35-ft, 5.75) won the triple jump with junior Caitlyn Callahan (31-ft, 11.25) in 5th, and junior Lauren Singer (88-ft, 4) and sophomore Alina Pietrzyk (86-ft, 10) were 4th and 5th in the javelin.
The Lady Hornets were 3rd in the 4x100m (52.2), 6th in the 4x400m (4:42.9), and 5th in the 4x800m (11:55.2).
The Lady Hornets are back in action at the PIAA District IV Championships at Williamsport Area High School on Thursday, May 16.
