Two first period goals led the Loyalsock Girls Soccer team past Wellsboro on Saturday, September 21.
Grace Boos scored the game's first goal off a corner kick by Anna Burdett with 24:42 on the clock, then Jocelyn Cruz scored on a penalty kick after the Lady Hornets were charged with a handball at 12:27.
Wellsboro was outshot 17-1 on the afternoon, with freshman Molly Ingerick taking the Lady Hornets' only shot of the game. Loyalsock also had a 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore Lilly Abadi recorded 17 saves in goal.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 4-3-1 (4-2-1 NTL). The team is back in action on Tuesday, September 24 at home against Troy.
