Lady Hornets fall to Athens

The Wellsboro Girls Soccer team suffered a 7-0 loss to Athens on Thursday, September 12.
The Lady Wildcats scored 6 1st period goals then added the game's final goal 8 minutes into the 2nd period.
Athens took 25 shots on goal and held the Lady Hornets to just 9 shots. Sophomore Lilly Abadi made 18 saves in goal.
The loss drops Wellsboro to 2-2-1 (2-2-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 14 at home against Jersey Shore.
