The Wellsboro Golf team won their 2nd straight NTL championship as they swept the field at the home course at Tyoga Country Club on Tuesday, September 24.
Wellsboro shot a season-low 322 to take home the top spot, Cowanesque Valley finished 2nd with 347, North Penn-Mansfield was 3rd at 367, Towanda came home 4th with a 394, Sayre was 5th at 398, and Athens rounded out the field with a 400.
"The team played amazing at home tonight," head coach Steve Macensky said. "We shot 322 our lowest team score of the year. We were solid throughout the lineup. It was nice to see all the support from our parents."
CV's Austin Outman took home the top spot, shooting an even-par 71. Wellsboro then took the next 3 spots with senior Ty Morral shooting 78, sophomore Dylan Abernathy 79, and Joseph Propheta an 80. CV's Joel Heck rounded out the top 5 with a round of 83.
Junior Brock Hamblin finished with an 85, senior Ethan Blakley shot a 92, and senior Daniel Mitchell rounded out the Hornets with a 93.
The league is back on the links for one final time in the regular season, next Monday, September 30, at Tomasso's Country Club.
