Volleyball team hosting shoe drive

The Wellsboro High School Volleyball Team is conducting a shoe collection drive from September 1 to November 1, 2018. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes at any one of the Wellsboro School District buildings.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa.

"We are excited about our shoe drive," head coach Sharon Zuchowski said. "We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like donate to us and help those less fortunate. It's a win-win for everyone."

By donating shoes to the High School Volleyball Team, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people's lives.
