The Wellsboro Middle School Boys Basketball team avenged an early season loss to North Penn-Liberty by defeating them 52-22 on Tuesday, December 18.
The Hornets lost to Liberty back on November 17 at home but returned the favor on the road to split the season series.
"We did a great job of limiting them to one shot and executed well on offense," head coach Steve Adams said. "Our big guys controlled the paint and Conner shot the ball well. The boys played with a lot of heart and intensity and the results showed."
Adams led the Hornets with 22 points, Hayes Campbell had 10, Cameron Brought finished with 8. Peyton McClure and Will Kibler contributed 4 points each while Dru Clark added 2 points.
Wellsboro's B team also won on the night, 24-16, behind 12 points from Tyler Youells.
The Hornets (11-2) are back in action on Saturday, December 22 at North Penn-Mansfield.
