Lady Hornets sweep season series with Williamsport

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept the season series against Williamsport on Wednesday, October 10.

Wellsboro cruised to the three set victory winning 25-6, 25-7, 25-6.

Senior Heidi Zuchowski led the Lady Hornets with 18 points (7 aces) and 4 kills, junior Caitlyn Callahan had 8 kills, and sophomore Breighanna Kemp had 6 assists. Freshman Jordan Judlin and junior Megan Starkweather had 4 assists each, sophomore Bailey Monks had 3 kills and a block, sophomore Shiloh Duff had 10 points and 5 assists, and junior Ryann Adams and Starkweather each had 8 points.

Adams also added 5 digs.

Wellsboro's JV team started off the night winning 2-0 (25-6, 25-12) to improve to 7-6.

The Varsity team's win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 12-1 (8-1 NTL Large School Division). The team is back on the court this evening against Wyalusing.
