North Penn-Liberty ended a four-game Wellsboro winning streak in a 40-18 win over the Green Hornets on Wednesday, March 8.
The Hornets were in the game after the first quarter as they trailed 9-7, but Liberty outscored Wellsboro 11-4, 9-5 in the third, and 11-2 in the fourth for the win.
Joseph Grab led the Hornets with 11 points while Will Poirier, Liam Manning, and Darryn Callahan scored 2 points each.
North Penn-Liberty also won the B game 21-16. Sam Freeman led the Hornets with 6 points and Manning added 5.
The loss drops the Hornets to 12-7. The team closes out the remainder of the seaons at home against North Penn-Mansfield on Thursday and Cowanesque Valley on Saturday morning.
