Junior Olivia Kurtz took home two 1st place finishes and set a new record in the Sayre pool at the NTL Meet on Tuesday, February 9.
Kurtz's 1st place time of 25.71 in the 50 Freestyle in a career best and shattered a Sayre pool record set back in 2007. Kurtz also took home a 1st place finish in the 100 Freestyle in 56.34. Senior Mikayla Feil took home a 2nd place finish in 50 Freestyle (26.18) and 4th in the 100 Freestyle (59.33), and sophomore Kaitlyne Kramer was 4th in the 50 Freestyle (27.77) and 2nd in the 500 Freestyle (6:13.56).
Sophomore Abby Feil came home 13th in the 50 Freestyle (29.81) and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke (1:14.30), sophomore Grace Feil was 17th in the 50 Freestyle (30.28) and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:26.96).
For the boys, junior Nathan Cotner took 1st in the 50 Freestyle (23:04) and 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (56.70), junior Devan Warner was 6th in the 50 Freestyle (26.80) and 5th in the 100 Butterfly (1:08.57), and sophomore Connor Brought was 2nd in the 100 Freestyle (55.45) and 1st in the 100 Breaststroke (1:09.67).
The swim team will be back in the pool on Wednesday-Thursday, March 2nd and 3rd for the PIAA Meet at Williamsport High School.
