The Wellsboro Boys and Girls Track teams each came home second to Towanda on Tuesday, May 3.
In the girls' meet, Towanda won 81-69 while the boys' team won 119-30.
For the girls, senior Mikayla Feil (90' 2") and junior Samantha Spurgeon (80' 7") were 2nd and 3rd in the javelin, senior Haley Zuchowski (17.13) won the 100m hurdles, senior Lindsey Graver (15' 3.5") won the long jump and was 2nd in the 100m (13.47), sophomore Anna Bleggi won the 1600m (5:57.3) with freshman Elizabeth Macias (6:23.19) in 2nd, and freshman Zoe Iseri (1:12.94) was 3rd in the 400m.
Zuchowski won the 300m hurdles (51.46) followed by Lindsey Graver (55.6) in 2nd, senior Camryn Keane (2:52.44) was 2nd in the 800m, senior Joey Taft (7' 6") was 2nd in the pole vault with sophomore Kaitlyne Kramer (7' 6") in 3rd, Lindsey Graver (31' 9") won the triple jump, junior Hannah Lawton (78' 6") was 3rd in the discus, and Iseri (30.64) was 3rd in the 200m.
Wellsboro swept the high jump as senior Raisa Rogers (5' 1") took 1st, Feil (5' 1") was 2nd, and sophomore Jillian Graver (4' 5") was 3rd. Bleggi won the 3200m (13:07.28) and Wellsboro's 4x400m relay team took 1st.
For the boys, junior Brody Coolidge (113' 11") won the javelin, junior Casey Hoover (20.61) was 2nd in the 110m hurdles, junior Alex Freeman (12.37) was 3rd in the 100m, freshman Aidan Perry (4:53.78) won the 1600m with senior Isaac Leach (5:28.65) in 3rd, Leach was 2nd in the 800m (2:18.8), freshman Isaac Wagner (26.62) was 3rd in the 200m, Hoover was 3rd in the discus (90' 9"), sophomore Connor Brought (12:06.37) was 2nd in the 3200m, and the 4x400m relay team won.
The loss drops the girls team to 6-2 and the boys team to 0-8. Both teams will be back on the road on Friday, May 6 to participate in the Coudersport Inivte.
