The Wellsboro Girls Soccer team fell victim to an 11-0 loss to Athens on Saturday, October 15.
Athens scored 8 first half goals and 3 second half goals en route to the win. The Lady Wildcats outshot Wellsboro 20-2 and had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomores Elizabeth Macias and Dahlia Hosey attempted Wellsboro's two shots on goal and junior Kailee Clymer made 9 saves in goal.
Wellsboro also lost the JV game 2-0.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets' record to 5-11-1 (5-7-1 NTL). The team will take on North Penn-Mansfield on Thursday, October 20 for Senior Night and their final game of the year.
