Seven members of the Wellsboro Girls Track team were recently selected to the All-Region team by the Towanda Daily Review.
Junior Jada Jackson was named field athlete of the year thanks to a solid performance at the PIAA State Track and Field Championships where she brought home two medals. Jackson was also a first team selection in the triple jump. Senior Lauren Bleggi, Jackson, and juniors Lindsey Graver and Raisa Rogers were also first team selections in the 4x100m relay as they ran the area's fastest time, and new Wellsboro school record, of 49.3 seconds.
Jackson was also a second team selection in both the long jump and 100m. Junior Mikayla Feil was a third team selection in the high jump, freshman Anna Bleggi was a third team selection in both the 1600m and 3200m, and junior Haley Zuchowski was a third team selection in the 300m hurdles.
WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Jada, Lauren, Lindsey, Raisa, Mikayla, Anna, and Haley on their selections and thank them for all their hard work during the season.
