Hornet Volleyball beat NEB in three

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team won their third straight match with a 3-0 victory at Northeast Bradford on Thursday, October 1.

The Lady Hornets won the first set 25-10, took the second 25-15, and won the third 25-6. The JV team also won 2-0 (25-6, 25-13) on the night.

Senior Darci Warriner led the team with 7 kills and 6 digs, junior Kirsten Florio recorded 5 kills and 9 points, and senior Mikayla Feil added a block. Junior Morgan Florio had 8 assists and senior Maddy Kyle pitched in 7. Sophomore Brianne Keane scored 12 points and senior Haley Zuchowski scored 10 points and recorded 6 digs.

With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 9-1 (5-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Monday, October 10 as they take on Coudersport on the road.
