The Wellsboro Swim team put up a strong showing at the NTL Swim Meet on Tuesday, February 10.
The girls ended in 3rd place with a score of 194.5 and the boys finished in 4th with a score of 67 and the Hornetshad 4 NTL champions. Senior Emilie Kramer was a double champion (200 IM and 100 Breaststroke), Sophomore Olivia Kurtz was a double champion (100 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle), and Sophomore Nathan Cotner and Junior Mikayla Feil also took home first place finishes.
Emilie Kramer swam 2:23.18 in the 200 IM and 1:12.72 in the 100 Breaststroke, Kurtz swam 2:07.97 in the 200 Freestyle and 57.71 in the 100 Freestyle. Mikayla Feil was first in the 50 Freestyle (26.73), and 2nd in the 100 Freestyle (58.51). Freshman Kaitlyne Kramer was 6th in the 50 Freestyle (29.53) and 4th in the 100 Freestyle (1:05.17), Freshman Abby Feil was 10th in the 50 Freestyle (30.51) and 4th in the 100 Backstroke (1:13.97), and Freshman Grace Feil was 4th i nthe 50 Freestyle (28.97) and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:23.11).
Cotner took home first in the 50 Freestyle (23.05) and was 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (57.25). Freshman Connor Brought was 3rd in the 200 Freestyle (2:06.78) and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:14.46).
The team will be back in action on February 25th and 26th for the PIAA District IV Championships at Williamsport High School.
