Hornet Golfers 3rd at Shepard Hills

The Wellsboro Golf team had their best performance of the year as they finished 3rd (367) at Shepard Hills on Wednesday, September 16.

Athens won the match with a team score of 344. Towanda (353) finished 2nd, Northern Tioga (376) was 4th, Sayre (385) was 5th, Northeast Bradford (387) was 6th, and Mansfield (411) was 7th.

Freshman Brandyn Tuttle led the team with an 88, followed by senior Ryan Reese with 90, and freshman Ben Barnett with a round of 92. Senior Stone Alexander shot 97, sophomore Aidan Moore finished with 98, and sophomore Kyle Reese rounded out the scores with a 112.

With their 3rd place finish, the Hornets are now 10-14 on the year. The team will be back in action this afternoon for a non-league match with Central Mountain at Clinton Country Club in Mill Hall, PA.
