The Wellsboro Middle School soccer team shut out North Penn-Liberty on Saturday, September 13 by the final score of 2-0.
Wellsboro controlled the ball for most of the game and had numerous shots on goal through out the first half, but thanks to Liberty's goalie the score remaind 0-0 at the half.
In the second half Julia Smith connected with Emma Poirier to put the Hornets up 1-0. Emma Poirier later found Brett Rudy for the Hornets second goal.
With the win, the team improves to 2-2. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 16 as they travel to Sayre.
