The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team extended their win streak to three games after a 35-9 win against Cowanesque Valley Tuesday night.
Emma Poirier led the team with 10 points and 2 rebounds. Lizzie Poirier (2 steals, 2 assists, 4 rebounds) and Sydney Tremper (4 steals, 1 assist, 3 rebounds) added 8 points each. Rachael Tuttle and Alyssa Yungwirth added 4 and 3 points respectively, while Dani Hunt chipped in 2 points. Elizabeth Johns led the team with 7 rebounds.
The B team also won 16-7 with Hayley Widows scoring an evening high 12 points.
"It was a solid night for both our A and B teams in which everyone contributed and gave us two good team wins," said head coach Darrell Morris.
The win improves the team's record to 4-1. The team will be back in action on Thursday, February 27 as they travel to Liberty.
