The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Basketball team dropped their second game of the Mansfield University Chirstmas Tournament to Bryn Mawr from Baltimore, MD on Sunday, December 28.
The Lady Hornets lost 52-32 in the consolation game. The girls got off to another slow start as Bryn Mawr jumped out to an early 20-6 lead and pushed their lead to 34-22 at halftime. Bryn Mawr outsocred Wellsboro 18-10 and held the Lady Hornets scoreless in the fourth quarter to capture the victory.
Junior Alexa Singer led the team with 11 points on the afternoon. Junior Sarah Ingerick had seven points, Junior Jada Jackson had six points, Freshman Lizzie Poirier had four points, and Senior Peyton Wilson and Sophomore Janessa Davis each had two points.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 4-4 (0-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Friday, January 2 as they travel to Troy.
