Hornet Volleyball falls to Wyalusing, 3-1

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team was swept by Wyalusing on the season as they lost 3-1 on Tuesday, September 30.

Wyalusing took the first set 25-22 and the second 27-25. Wellsboro won the third set 25-10 and Wyalusing won 25-22 in the fourth set to claim the victory.

Junior Darci Warriner led the team with 11 points and 19 digs, Senior Danielle Mihalik had 9 kills and 10 digs, Senior Peyton Wilson had 14 digs and 7 assists, and Junior Maddy Kyle had 9 points.

Senior Paige Carr led the team with 16 digs, Junior Mikayla Feil had 7 points, and Senior Jordan Butters had 4 kills.

In the JV game, the Lady Hornets won 2-1 (23-25, 25-13, 15-9) to improve to 9-2.

With the loss, the Varsity team falls to 7-4 (2-3 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 2 as they host Liberty.
