Girls Soccer shut out by Athens

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team was shut out 1-0 by Athens on Tuesday, September 30.

Athens' Sarah Goble scored the lone goal in the 12th minute and the Wildcats held on for the rest of the night for the shut out despite the Lady Hornets holding the advantage in shots (13-5) and corner kicks (4-3).

The JV game ended in a 0-0 tie.

With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 6-5 (6-4 NTL). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 2 as they travel to Troy.
