The Wellsboro Varsity girls soccer team picked up their second win in a row by shutting out Wyalusing, 3-0 in NTL action Monday night.
The Lady Hornets wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, in fact it only took them seven minutes. Senior Brooke Kohler scored her first goal of the season to put the team up 1-0. Sophomore Brynn Ripley scored the next goal for Wellsboro in the 31st minute to put them up 2-0 before Junior Lauren Bleggi scored only a handful of seconds later to close out the scoring at 3-0.
Wellsboro recored 18 shots on the night to Wyalusing's 7. Ripley, Bleggi, and Sophomore Lindsey Graver each attempted four during the game. Junior Meghan Bodine recorded 5 saves on the night to earn her fourth shut out victory of the season.
The J.V. game finished in a 2-2 draw.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 6-8-1 (5-7-1 NTL). The team will be back in acton on Wednesday, October 9 as they travel to Williamson.
