The Wellsboro Middle School boys basketball team fell to Galeton on Friday night by the final score of 32-29. After leading through the first three quarters, the Hornets were out-scored 13-5 in the final frame as they suffered their sixth loss of the season.
"We played an excellent defensive game up until the fourth quarter," said head coach Dan Marple. "We played hard and got good looks at the basket, but had a rough shooting night (23% from the field)."
Dawson Prough had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team, while Joe Allen and Tony Cooper had nine and four points, respectively.
In the B-Team game, Wellsboro won 26-21. Jake Singer led the team in scoring with nine points, and Brandon Lamphier and Bryon Callahan each had six.
