Lady Hornets pick up exciting win

It came down to the last minute of the fourth quarter, but the Lady Hornets pulled out a win over the Mansfield Lady Tigers by a score of 52-48. Key to the win were three successful free throws: one from Andrea Dean and two from Mackenzie Marple in the final minute of the game.

Leading all scorers was Andrea Dean with 16 points; she also pulled in 7 rebounds. Following Dean were Hannah Zuchowski (13 points and five rebounds), and Mackenzie Marple (10 points).

"It was a very intense, physical game," stated coach Mary Grab.  "I was so pleased that the girls maintained their composure and kept pressure on Mansfield to secure the win."

In Junior Varsity action, the Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Hornets by a score of 23-14. Jordan Butters led scoring for the Hornets with 10 points and Camilla Sossi lead the way on the boards with 7 rebounds.
