Lady Hornets end skid against Canton

The Wellsboro Lady Hornets basketball team ended their 3 game losing streak by picking up a 56-24 win over Canton.

Senior Guard Mackenzie Marple led the Lady Hornets with 20 points in the win. Freshman Sarah Ingerick was the second leading scorer with 12 points. Sophomore Jordan Butters had 6 for Wellsboro and Senior Kimberly Acorn finished added 5.

Also pitching in the for Lady Hornets were Senior Jeni Intallura with 4, Freshman Jada Jackson with 3, and Senior Jessie Catherman and Freshman Alexa Singer had two points each.

With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 2-4. The team will be back in action on Thursday, December 20 as they host Athens.
