Hornet Volleyball tops Wyalusing in 3

The Wellsboro Volleyball team defeated Wyalusing 3-0 in the opening round of District IV playoffs Saturday.

The Hornets won 25-19, 25-16, and 25-21 to sweep the Rams and advance to the second round of district play. Senior Hannah Zuchowski had 22 kills, Junior Alex Kurtz had 16 assists, Junior Kaelyn Keane had 4 blocks, and Senior Mackenzie Marple had 7 points to lead the Hornets.

With the win, the Hornets will face top seeded Troy on Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. at Williamson High School.
