Hornet track team suffers loss to Wyalusing

The Wellsboro boys track team dropped their season opening meet to Wyalusing 89.5-60.5 last night in Wyalusing. Dan Brooks finished 3rd in the 100m dash with a time of 12.20, the 4x800m team of Chad Daugherty, Bobby Hill, Bob Owlett, and Garrett Webster finshed 1st with a time of 9:03.02.
In the 3200m run, Wellsboro swept the top three sports with Jordan Jackson, Bob Owlett, and Garrett Webster taking 1st-3rd, respectively. In the 400m run, Jordan Jackson captured the top spot with a time of 51.87.
In the jumping events, Dylan Prough won the long jump at 19' 8".
The team will be back in action next Tuesday, April 10, as they travel to Towanda.
