The Wellsboro Varsity girls soccer team fell to Mansfield 3-2 on the road Friday night.
The Hornets jumped out early as Freshman Sarah Ingerick scored off an assist from Sophomore Elise Becker. Senior Sarah Kramer scored off a Kimberly Acorn helper to put them up 2-0 after the first 15 minutes of play.
Mansfield was able to fight back and score 3 unanswered goals to top Wellsboro and claim the league victory.
Kramer's goal now puts her at 10 for the year to lead the team. Sophomore Meghan Bodine also stopped 10 shots for the Hornets.
With the loss, the Hornets fall to 5-7-1. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 10 as they travel to Northeast Bradford.
