Boys XC splits with Troy and NEB

The Wellsboro Varsity boys cross country team beat Troy and fell to Northeast Bradford last night in Troy.

The Hornets defeated Troy 23-32 and fell to Northeast Bradford 35-21. Senior Jordan Jackson was the top finisher for the team as he finished third with a time of 16:57. Fellow Senior Bobby Hill was the second highest finisher in fifth in a time of 17:24.

Rounding out the rest of the runners were Junior Joey Doganiero in 7th (17:42) and Senior Derek Morgan in 12th (19:11).

In the Middle School race, the Hornets topped Troy 23-32 and fell to Northeast Bradford 31-17.

The Varsity team is now 5-3 on the year. The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 4 as they host Central Mountain and Jersey Shore.
