Senior Taylor Acorn has been named All-Region Female Track Athlete of the Year by the Towanda Daily Review.
Acorn, who will run track next year for Kutztown University, had the top times in the 100 (12.66), 200 (26.35) and 300 hurdles (45.80) while also being part of the top 4x100 relay (49.65) that medaled. Her long jump mark was also third best in the area.
Acorn tallied four inidivdual selections. She was a first team selection in the 100m, 200m, 300m hurdles, and was a third team selection in the long jump.
In addition to Acorn, five other members of the girls track team were named to the All-Region team.
Senior Raina Rogers was to the first team in the 400m and 4x100m and was a second team selection in the 100m hurdles. Junior Kimberly Acorn was named to the first team in the triple jump, and Junior Sarah Kramer was a third team selection in the pole vault.
Freshman Lauren Bleggi was named to the third team in the 200m, and was also named Newcomer of the Year. Rounding out Wellsboro's other first team selection was the 4x100m team of Acorn, Bleggi, Rogers, and Senior Mikayla Palmer-Bacon.
