Troy beats Wellsboro in 5

The Troy Trojans rallied to beat Wellsboro in 5 games Thursday night in Wellsboro. Wellsboro won the first game 25-14, before Troy took the next two 25-16 and 25-22. Wellsboro evened things up, winning the fourth game 25-20, before Troy won the fifth and deciding game, 15-12. Junior Hannah Zuchowski led the Hornets in kills (26) and digs (23). Junior Josie Dean recorded 2 aces and 12 service points, and Junior Mackenzie Marple added 2 aces and 8 service points. Seniors Tarah Doty and Erika Wilson added 20 and 18 digs respectively.

In JV action, Wellsboro beat Troy in two games. The Hornets will be back in action Tuesday, September 27 as they travel to Mansfield to face the Tigers. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
