Hornets top Williamson in tennis

The girls tennis team won their last home game of the year as they downed Williamson, 5-2. After splitting the top four singles matches, both teams played back and forth matches the rest of the evening. Wellsboro prevailed through a doubles sweep. Brianna Quimby and Kim Tulanowski finished the match with a tie-breaker in their 5th singles match, including a seventeen stroke rally and excellent concentration on the part of both players.

The Hornets have one more match in the 2011 season. The team will travel to Galeton on Monday, October 10 to take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m.
