The girls tennis team fell to Cowanesque by the final score of 7-0 Friday night in Wellsboro. The evening featured the unveiling of the new Wellsboro Tennis courts. A number of matches were very close, with Wellsboro fighting through a very slow start with much stronger finishes.
Raina Rogers nearly broke through to win the second set after falling 6-0 in the first set. Taylor Russell evened her match after two sets, only to fall behind early in the third, and lose in 3 sets. Both doubles matches were very competitive, ending in tie-breakers.
With the victory, Cowanesque moves to 6-0 in NTL match play.
