Hornets fall in OT in District play

The Hornets fell to Northeast Bradford in the first round of the District 4 Class AA playoffs. After a slow start, Wellsboro fought back to tie up the game with 3 minutes left in regulation on a goal by Senior Pat Herres. In overtime, however, the Hornets allowed a goal just two minutes in to get eliminated from the post season.

Senior Darby Alafoginis assisted Herres' goal and Senior Goalie Luke Sampson recorded 5 saves. With the loss, the Hornets finish up the 2011 season at 11-6-1 overall.
