Hornets Drop Williamson

The Hornets defeated Williamson 6-1 Friday night after falling to Bucktail 6-1 on Wednesday. Despite the seemingly lopsided score, this close match featured 8 of the match's 14 sets being decided by a single service break. Russell and Quimby took advantage of their first opportunities at 2nd and 3rd singles respectively by winning close matches. Chris Kennedy and Lauren Morse played in their first singles action of the season, winning convincingly. The evening ended with Evans/Russell coming back to save one set point and win the last three games of the 1st doubles match to clinch their victory.

With the win, Wellsboro is now 3-2 in NTL play while Williamson falls 0-5.
