The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team picked up a 2-0 win over Wyalusing on Saturday, September 26.
The young Lady Hornets won the first set 25-11 and won the second 25-23 to win the match.
"It was a long trip on an early Saturday morning, so it took the girls some time to find their groove," said head coach Jen Outman.
Ryann Adams led the team with 12 serves. Caitlyn Callahan recorded 3 spikes and 1 kill, and Caitlyn Callahan, Brei Kemp, and Megan Starkweather each had 1 block apiece.
In the B game, the Lady Hornets won 2-1 (19-25, 25-20, 15-3). Abigail Colton played well, having 4 save the game hits. Alina Pretzyk (9) and Chelsie English (8) led the team in serves.
The win improves the Middle School team's record to 5-1. The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 3 as they host Northeast Bradford.
