The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team won their third consecutive game with a 1-0 win over Galeton on Tuesday, October 20.
Tuesday's game at Galeton was a classic defensive battle as both team struggled to convert scoring opportunities throughout the game. Joseph Grab scored a first half goal off an assist from Will Poirier.
Zach Rowland recorded six saves in goal for the Hornets.
"Galeton did a good job passing the ball to create opportunities for themselves today," said head coach Ed Hamm. "We will have a great experience Saturday if we remember to play team soccer aggressively in each game."
The B-team's game ended in a scoreless tie.
The win improves the Hornets' record to 8-2-1. The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 24 in the NTL Tournament at Williamson.
