Just four days after winning their first District IV playoff game, the Wellsboro Girls Soccer team was shutout 5-0 by Loyalsock on Saturday, October 31.
The Lady Hornets held Loyalsock scoreless until the 22nd minute when Adriana Barone got a goal past sophomore Kailee Clymer to make it 1-0. The score remained that way until after the half, then Loyalsock went on a 4-goal spree in the second half.
Hannah Zurich scored at 42:55 and 44:01 to make it 3-0, Myriah Saar scored at 52:40, and Gabby Gardner added the game's final goal at 56:45 for the 5-0 win.
Loyalsock attempted 13 shots on the afternoon to the Lady Horents' 7 and edged them 4-3 in corner kicks. Clymer made 13 saves in goal.
The loss ends the Lady Hornets' season with a record of 11-7-2.
