Hornet Golfers sixth at Athens

The Wellsboro Golf team shot a combined 387 to finish in sixth place at Tomasso's Country Club in the final NTL golf match of the year on Monday, October 6.

Towanda (330) took home the win, but Athens, who finished 3rd with a score of 351, took home the NTL title on their home course. Mansfield finished 2nd overall with a score of 347. Sayre (379) was fourth, Northern Tioga (385) was fifth, and Northeast Bradford (390) was seventh.

Senior Brett Kendrick shot an 83 to lead the Hornets, Juniors Ryan Reese and Charles Graner each shot 100, Junior Stone Alexander shot 104, Freshman Kyle Reese shot 114, and Freshman Zach Lundgren.

With their sixth place finish Wellsboro end the 2014 NTL season with a 12-30 record.
