Hornet golfers finish 5th at River Valley

The Wellsboro Golf team improved upon their week one finish by taking home fifth at River Valley on Tuesday, August 26.

The Hornets shot 398 as a team for fifth. Athens, who is now 12-0 on the season, finished first with a team score of 356.

Senior Brett Kendrick earned medalist honors as he shot 75 to pace the field on the day. Junior Tyler Kennedy finished with 99, Junior Ryan Reese had a 108, Freshman Aidan Moore shot 116, Junior Charles Graner shot 119, and Junior Stone Alexander shot 126.

The Hornets are now 3-9 (3-9 NTL) following the match. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 2 as they travel to Corey Creek Country Club.
