The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team picked up their sixth win of the season as they defeated Galeton, 31-19. Sarah Ingerick led all scorers with 13 points. Alexa Singer, Jenny Young, Darci Warriner, and Jada Jackson each added 4 points. Jada Jackson pulled in 4 rebounds, while Alexa Singer and Darci Warriner grabbed 3 each.
"The girls from Galeton played hard and we had a scoring drought in the 3rd quarter," said head coach Darrell Morris. "But our girls fought through it and finished strong for the win."
In the B-Team game, Wellsboro held on for a 12-6 win. The team will be back in action on Tursday, March 1, as they travel to North Penn.
