Hornet golfers win at Tyoga

The Wellsboro golf team stay undefeated on the 2012 season as they took the top spot at Tyoga Country Club on Monday.

The Hornets shot 488 as a team to take first place ahead of Athens (509), Towanda (551), Northern Tioga (569), Mansfield (593), Sayre (670), and Northeast Bradford (no team score).

Junior Brett Kendrick shot an 82 to lead the Hornets and earn medalist honors. Senior Wellsboro Zach Reese shot 93, Junior Blair Carson scored 96, Junior Dillan King shot 99, and Senior Josh Cooper added 118 to round out the scoring for Wellsboro.

With the win, the Hornets are now 36-0. The team will be back in action on Monday, October 1 as they finish league play at Tomasso's Country Club in Athens.
