The Wellsboro golf team capped of a perfect 42-0 NTL season as they took the top spot Monday afternoon at Tomasso's Country Club.
The Hornets shot 447 as a team to edge out Athens (453) and Towanda (467) to remain undefeated on the year.
Leading Wellsboro was Sophomore Brett Kendrick with an 82, followed by Junior Dillan King's 84, Junior Blair Carson's 88, Junior Zach Bower's 95, and Senior Josh Cooper's 98.
"The kids worked real hard all season. They didn't quit working hard right from the first match," said head coach Ben Largey. "These guys have been putting in a lot of time since June and it's nice to see their hard work paid off."
In addition to the team honors, Kendrick, King, Bower, and Carson also earned individual honors. Kendrick won League MVP with an League leading average of 87, King earned first team NTL honors with a league average of 88, Bower earned second team NTL honors with a league average of 91, and Carson earned second team NTL honors with a league average of 92.
These four young men will also represent the Hornets this Thursday as they travel to Williamsport for Districts.
